About Flinders University Judo Club

Flinders University Judo Club is a welcoming community judo club training at the Sturt Gymnasium on the Flinders University campus at Bedford Park, in Adelaide's south. Open to students and the wider public alike, the club offers an authentic introduction to judo in a friendly, supportive setting where newcomers are thoughtfully looked after from their very first session.

Training covers the throws, groundwork and technique that make judo such a complete martial art, building strength, balance, fitness and confidence along the way. Sessions cater to a mix of levels, with all-levels classes early in the week and a more advanced intermediate session later on, plus a dedicated beginner-friendly women's program that runs as a short introductory course with no sparring.

The club places real emphasis on making people feel comfortable, pairing new members up carefully and encouraging them to arrive early for an introduction. With experienced black-belt coaches, easy access by public transport and parking nearby, Flinders University Judo Club is a great option for anyone in the southern suburbs wanting to try judo, get fitter or take up a lifelong martial art in a genuinely inclusive environment.
