About Maya Karate Academy
Maya Karate Academy brings world-class traditional karate to Walkerville, led by a family of internationally ranked masters with deep roots in Shudokan and Gojuryu styles. The academy is built around authentic instruction, discipline and respect, drawing on decades of competitive and teaching experience at the highest levels of the sport.
Training caters to both children and adults, making it a welcoming environment for newcomers as well as those looking to progress through the ranks. With instructors who hold senior dans, world referee credentials and international competition medals, students benefit from technical depth that is rare in a local club setting.
The atmosphere is serious about technique but supportive of every student's journey, whether the goal is fitness, self-discipline, self-defence or competition. A free introductory class lets prospective members experience the teaching first-hand before committing. For Walkerville families and individuals wanting genuine, lineage-based karate rather than a generic martial-arts program, Maya Karate Academy offers a distinctive blend of tradition, expertise and personal attention.
