About Shitoryu Karate-Do Shoshinkan

Shitoryu Karate-Do Shoshinkan is a traditional karate club on The Parade in Kensington, serving Adelaide's eastern suburbs. It teaches the Shito-Ryu style under the guidance of Sensei Daniel, a coach whom long-time families describe as dedicated and teaching very much from the heart.

The club has built a reputation as a friendly, welcoming group that genuinely caters for all ages, making it a popular choice for parents and children who want to train side by side. Members speak of years spent at the dojo, with families staying on for six and seven years at a time, which says a great deal about the warmth and consistency of the environment Sensei Daniel has created.

Training here is about far more than self-defence. Students report real gains in fitness, flexibility, discipline and confidence, and many go on to test themselves competing in kata at local tournaments. Whether you are an adult looking for a structured, traditional martial art or a parent seeking a positive, character-building activity for your child, Shoshinkan offers a grounded and supportive place to start. Newcomers of any experience level are welcomed into the group, and the focus on respect and steady improvement makes it easy to settle in and stay.
