About Swing That Thing - Swing Dancing Adelaide
Swing That Thing is a dedicated swing dancing school and community based in North Adelaide, teaching Lindy Hop, swing and rock 'n' roll to dancers of all experience levels. What started as one person's passion for the dance has grown into a thriving hub where Adelaide's swing scene gathers, learns and connects week after week.
The school is built around structured, progressive classes that take complete beginners through to advanced and performance-level dancers, all delivered in an atmosphere that students repeatedly describe as positive, patient and genuinely fun. Newcomers are welcomed warmly, no partner is required, and the rotation-based teaching makes it easy to jump in and find your feet.
Beyond the technique, what stands out is the sense of belonging. Dancers talk about the lasting friendships formed and the supportive, energetic community the teachers have nurtured across North Adelaide and Norwood. Whether you are chasing a fun new hobby, preparing a wedding routine or aiming for the performance troupe, Swing That Thing offers an inclusive home for movement, rhythm and connection.
