About Tasmanian Road Runners Group Run

Tasmanian Road Runners is a community running club for the greater Hobart area, started as an initiative by a group of recreational runners with a simple goal: to promote running, build friendships and improve health across Tasmania. Rather than operating from a single facility, the club brings runners together at meeting points such as Sandy Bay and coordinates activities throughout the state.

At the heart of the club is its welcoming, all-paces ethos. The regular Monday social run is open to runners of every ability, and the club runs structured programs including Make Me a Marathoner, an annual pathway for first-time marathoners, alongside its Angels and Foot Soldiers race pacers and sweepers who support runners on event day.

Beyond the running itself, Tasmanian Road Runners offers seminars, social events, training resources, route guides and volunteering opportunities, creating a genuine community around the sport. Membership and club merchandise are available through the club shop. For anyone in Hobart who wants company, structure and encouragement on their running journey, whether chasing a first marathon or simply a regular jog with friends, the club provides a supportive and inclusive home.
