Singapore Taekwon-do Academy

Singapore Taekwon-do Academy is one of the island's longest-running martial arts schools, founded in 1971 and recognised at national and international level. Based around Serangoon Plaza in the Novena area, it teaches traditional Taekwon-do through a structured, grading-based system overseen by senior masters and qualified black belts.

The academy runs dedicated classes for adults, family and kids programs, and unarmed self-defence lessons, alongside instructor and black-belt courses and regular tournaments and competitions. Training is delivered across more than thirty centres island-wide — outdoors at neighbourhood RC and community centres, and indoors at private training studios, fitness gyms and condo clubhouses — so students can often find a venue close to home.

With a half-century track record, BizSAFE certification and a centralised grading and examination structure, it offers a serious, well-organised pathway into the sport.
