About Wufang Singapore
Wufang Singapore is a Chinese martial arts school in the Katong neighbourhood, dedicated to wushu and kungfu for both children and adults. Headquartered at The Yards on Joo Chiat Place, the school is led by a World Wushu Champion and three-time SEA Games gold medallist, giving students access to coaching with serious competitive pedigree.
Training covers traditional wushu alongside fitness work, including weapons routines such as dao shu and gun shu, with pathways that extend to national youth team coaching for those who progress. The children's programmes are a particular strength, blending discipline and fun in a structured, welcoming environment that keeps young students engaged and excited to return each week.
Families who train here highlight more than just technique. Through wushu, children pick up values, self-discipline, teamwork, resilience, endurance and self-confidence, learning to express the art's movements as well as perform them. With satellite training grounds in addition to the main hall, Wufang offers a focused, tradition-rooted home for martial arts in Singapore's east. Booking ahead is recommended to secure a place in class.
