About Aikido Goshinkai - Haruki dojo (Aikido Community)

Aikido Goshinkai - Haruki Dojo is a non-profit martial arts community teaching the Ki Aikido style of Aikido Goshinkai in Tweed Heads South. Training takes place in a permanent, air-conditioned dojo set within the South Tweed Sports Club, giving members a comfortable, dedicated space to practise alongside access to the club's wider facilities.

Unlike combat-focused martial arts, the dojo emphasises a non-competitive philosophy with no fighting or competition. The focus is on technique, harmony and self-development, making it well suited to people who want the discipline and movement of a martial art without the pressure of sparring or tournaments. Visitors from other styles are warmly welcomed to train.

Classes cater to a range of ages, with an Aiki Kids program for children from around seven years and senior classes for older students and adults. As a community association rather than a commercial gym, the dojo carries a friendly, inclusive atmosphere and even hosts social events. For Tweed Heads South locals curious about aikido in a supportive, low-pressure setting, this is an approachable place to begin.
