About Swimlab

Swimlab is a specialist adult swim school operating from the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence in Redfern, dedicated to helping people of all abilities become confident, capable swimmers. Led by founder and head coach Claire alongside a team of skilled and caring teachers, Swimlab has built a glowing reputation for patient, encouraging coaching that meets nervous beginners and improving swimmers exactly where they are. Reviewers repeatedly highlight coaches who get in the water alongside the group, demonstrate technique up close and offer clear, confidence-building cues you can keep working on.

Whether you are conquering a fear of deep water, learning freestyle for the first time, refining your stroke or training for ocean swims and fitness, the structured, progressive programs are designed to build genuine, lasting skill. Many swimmers also receive between-class follow-ups with technique videos to reinforce their progress. With a thoughtful, supportive teaching style and a focus on real improvement rather than pressure, Swimlab gives Redfern and inner-Sydney adults a welcoming place to transform how they feel in the water.
