About Singapore Ju-Jitsu Association

The Singapore Ju-Jitsu Association is the national governing body for the sport of ju-jitsu, based in Queenstown and supporting a network of affiliated gyms across the island. It champions the full breadth of the discipline, from people stepping onto the mats for the very first time through to elite athletes representing Singapore on the world stage.

The association supports all five recognised disciplines of ju-jitsu, covering ground grappling, the striking-and-throwing Fighting System, full-contact competition, and the choreographed Duo and Show formats. Competition pathways are organised by age and level, including Youth, Adult and Master categories alongside a Novice division created specifically for white belts, so there is a structured route forward whatever your starting point.

Members speak warmly of an environment that has taken them from local training to regional, continental and world championship podiums, crediting the association's support and the opportunities it opens up for athletes of every age. Parents of junior competitors describe being guided through every stage of selection and preparation. For anyone in Singapore looking to learn ju-jitsu seriously or pursue competition, the SJJA offers a clear, well-backed framework for growth.
