PEGS Swim Academy

PEGS Swim Academy in Essendon is part of the Swim Academy Network, a Melbourne swim-school group focused on developing confident, water-safe swimmers in a friendly and supportive setting. The academy teaches the foundations of swimming and water safety, helping learners build a genuine love of the water from their very first lessons.

The teaching philosophy goes beyond stroke technique. Across its network, the academy aims to develop not only great swimmers but also great leaders, mentors, teachers and friends, using a personalised, differentiated approach so each swimmer is taught at the right level for their stage and ability. With a community of more than 520 swimmers, the program balances structure with a fun, encouraging atmosphere.

Based at PEGS in Essendon, the academy caters to learners progressing from their earliest water experiences right through to competitive squad swimming. Families in the area are drawn to its emphasis on individual progress, friendly coaching and a positive environment where children can grow their skills and confidence in and around the pool over the long term.
